The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum is offering FREE admission to all Maine residents on Sunday, June 25th. All you need to do is show your current Maine driver’s license or REAL ID.
See the world’s most diverse collection of meteorites. Touch pieces of the Moon and of Mars. Explore the world of mining and the huge collection of Maine minerals. Everything from a piece of beryl so large it had to be sent to MMGM in its own shipping truck to the tiny pieces of rare blue tourmaline. There are many interactive elements for kids as well as the kid in adults. And if your taste runs to gems, the Hall of Gems will be right up your alley.
