Sluice Saturday

Maybe you will find a treasure. The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum, Bethel, will be holding its first outdoor sluice day on June 24 from 10am-4pm. You’ll get to sort through the tailings from the Havey Mine as they run through the sluice in the parking lot of the museum (Chapman Street). You never know what you might find from the great Havey Mine in Poland. MMGM staff will be available to help and answer questions. Open to kids of all ages and only $8 per bag. Proceeds benefit the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum. The sluice is open every Saturday through September 2, 2023.
