MMGM’s Mineralogical Heritage Awards Banquet 2017

Maine Mineral & Gem Museum’s MMGM Mineralogical Heritage Awards celebrate the sciences and arts integral to its mission: to communicate the significance of minerals in our lives, our planet and beyond.

Honorees demonstrate advanced application and significant influence on the science and processes inherent in mining, collecting, crafting, educating and communicating the relevance of minerals.

MMGM Mineralogical Heritage Awards commence in May 2017 during the MMGM Mineralogical Heritage Awards Banquet on May 12 at the Grand Summit Hotel in Newry, Maine and held in conjunction with the New England Mineral Conference.

The awards will be bestowed each year hereafter. Inductees are selected by democratic voting by the Awards Committee with a total of three named each year; recipients may be named posthumously.

Sign up at Registration for the Banquet, a $30.00 fee covers this event. It will be buffet style, 5:00 to 6:45 PM, on Friday, May 12, 2017. Deadline to purchase Banquet tickets is May 5, 2017, advance purchase only, no tickets at the door.
