Since opening in 2019, the museum has welcomed more than 100,000 visitors and continues to serve as a hub for scientific discovery and public engagement.
Our Mission
The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum celebrates Earth and cultivates critical thinking through research, education, and dynamic exhibits— all designed to inform and inspire curiosity about Maine’s geologic history, and our planet’s place in the solar system.
