Minerals are the building blocks of our geologic world, and the cornerstone of MMGM’s galleries.
MMGM is home to over 38,000 superlative mineral specimens, including over 15,000 from Maine, and over 300 dazzling Maine gemstones of exquisite quality. As you wander through the museum’s many galleries, history and science unfold before you through state-of-the-art interactive exhibits, incredible specimen displays, and exceptional storytelling.
