Have you ever wondered why each month is associated with a particular gemstone? In this science activity session, you will explore the origins of birthstones, how different cultures have assigned gems to different months over time, and why some months have more than one birthstone. You’ll also discover which birthstones can actually be found right here in Maine!
Finally, You will have the opportunity to create and take home a birthstone-themed art project inspired by your own birthstone!
