The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum (MMGM) is honored to be selected as an exhibitor at Maine Nonprofit Day 2026, hosted at the Maine State House in Augusta.
Held annually by the Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP), Maine Nonprofit Day celebrates the essential role nonprofits play across the state — from education and environmental stewardship to public health, journalism, and economic development. As a sector, Maine nonprofits contribute more than $16 billion annually to the state’s economy and employ 1 in 6 Maine workers.
Visit MMGM in the Hall of Flags
MMGM will host an exhibit table in the Hall of Flags, one of the State House’s most iconic public spaces. Visitors can meet MMGM staff and explore extraordinary scientific specimens, including authentic pieces of Mars and the Moon, highlighting Maine’s connection to planetary science, geology, and STEM education.
Exhibit space for Nonprofit Day is highly competitive. More than 70 organizations applied to participate in 2026, and MMGM is proud to be among the selected nonprofits representing the diversity, reach, and impact of Maine’s nonprofit sector.
If you’re attending Maine Nonprofit Day, be sure to stop by MMGM’s table in the Hall of Flags to see space-born specimens up close and learn how geology, science, and storytelling connect Maine to the wider universe.Maine Nonprofit Day 2026
