What has 9 eyes, 3 ears, 1 arm, and 6 wheels?
OPPY on Mars — the Mars Rover that stole our hearts and explored the Red Planet like a champ!
Come celebrate Earth Day (or should we say Mars Day?) with a space-tacular morning of storytelling, science, and sustainable creativity at MMGM!
What’s Happening:
Gather ‘round as Education Outreach Coordinator Deb Johnson reads Hello, Opportunity: The Story of Our Friend on Mars — a heartwarming tale of a little rover with a big mission!
Then it’s time to build your own planetary rover using recycled materials, googly eyes, and cosmic creativity!
We provide the upcycled supplies, you bring your imagination!
Plus, we’ll end with a silly Mars-themed picture book and mini cupcakes to fuel our astronauts-in-training!
Perfect for curious kids in grades K–6 and their awesome grown-ups!
From the Red Planet to Bethel, Maine, this is one out-of-this-world event you won’t want to miss. Let’s celebrate Earth, space, and science together — one recycled robot at a time!
