Have a mystery rock sitting on a shelf? Found something interesting in a stream bed, quarry, or your backyard?
Bring it to our next Free Mineral ID Day on Saturday, July 11 at the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum.
From 11 AM–3 PM, Al Falster will be available to visually identify your specimens. Guests are welcome to bring up to three hand-sized specimens for identification.
Whether you’re new to rock hounding, building a collection, or finally want to know what that rock really is, this is a great opportunity to learn more about what you have.
