Meteorites
MMGM is home to the largest known pieces of the Moon and Mars, and has more lunar meteorites than all other museums combined. Meteorites tell us the extraordinary origin story of our solar system and home planet.
Meteorites hold the key to helping us understand many of Earth’s mysteries. The Stifler collection of meteorites invites visitors to an up-close and in-depth look at the incredible science of our planet, the solar system, and our extraordinary otherworldly neighbors.
The Space Rocks Gallery at MMGM is one of the few places on Earth where visitors can hold a piece of the Moon and Mars in their hands!
