Gyroscope Ring
Gerado Gonzalez
Brooklyn, New York
Fascinated by the relationship between hands and the jewels that adorn them, Gerardo creates rings that explore kinetic mechanisms and the human power that moves them. He created this stunning ring where the pink tourmaline (24.25 carats) and outer axis move freely. Three small green tourmalines (mined at Mt. Marie in Paris, Maine) are mounted on the outer axis. Blackened stainless steel, titanium, and sterling silver were all used in creating this ring.
